Warwick 2008 12v socket at rear
Thie 12v socket fitted behind the back rest at the drivers side rear near back door is only live when engine running? How can I make this live when engine off so we can use when pitched up?
Thanks
Thanks

I am not 100% on Warwicks but it does seem odd to me. Think I would be inclined to run a new socket, leaving that as it is. New socket cables could be run through the bed box

Yes that would do depends where the cable run is but put it in plastic trucking if possible and dont put too high a rated fuse in.

I wonder if this is a standard fit to the boxer van before AS get started with the conversion. That would explain why it is connected to the vehicle system, and not the leisure battery

Re: Warwick 2008 12v socket at rear
The cable to the socket comes in useful for the 12v supply to a second rear view camera as it's ignition controlled. The high level camera on the Warwick Duo is useless in heavy rain so I've installed a second camera under the rear bumper and switch to that one when it rains. There is a spare video input for a second camera under the drivers door step but finding a route through the van for the video cable is not easy.
Another use for the socket supply is providing 12v for tow bar electrics as it saves having to run a cable back to the vehicle battery.
But the socket itself is useless, as just when you want to use it when parked up it doesn't work. It's also hidden behind the side cushion. But Peugeot fit the socket as standard to the base van so I suppose Autosleepers have deemed it better to keep it, even though it has limited use.

I agree that socket could be useful. I have a 12volt compressor for checking tyre pressures and the cable is a bit of a stretch when checking the rear tyres . I was thinking of putting a 12 volt socket in the back of our Duetto.

Our 2014 Duo has a 12 volt socket mounted on the side of the wardrobe and this is live when the engine is off. I suppose that over time A-S have jiggled the specification of the Duo (and most of their 'vans), but I am certain that there is no other 12 volt socket at the rear that is live when the engine is running.
