Hi, I have a 1996 N Reg Duetto which is a great little runner, but today I noticed that the heater fan has stopped working. I have checked the fuses and there is no problem there, so I was wondering if anyone can tell me where I can get a wiring diagram to check it out? Thanks all allthumbz

Hi willenhall12

Your best bet could be a Haynes Manual for the Transit. It may be that someone else on this site has one that they could photo-copy the relevant page for you. I have been thinking about buying one for myself but have'nt got round to it yet.
I probably will when something breaks. smile! Good luck.

Brad.

Hi there, i've had 4 Transits over the years & a common heater problem was the power-resistor that controls the fan speed, these fail after a while

& can easily be got at & replaced, they live in a sort of 'cage' on the engine bay firewall, the 'cage' allows heat generated to escape smile!

Agreed, could be the resistor pack, though ~usually~ if it goes you still have the full speed setting working. The resistor pack is fitted inside the cab on later models, under the dash on the bulkhead.

The Haynes manual shows the +ve feed from the 30A fuse to the switch is a violet/black wire, and the +ve (switched) feed from the switch to the motor is a white/black wire.
