SYMBOL relays and wiring diagram
Hello all
My first post as I have recently joined the forum. We recently bought a 2001 Peugeot Symbol Petrol engine and really pleased with the design. A habitation check a few weeks ago found the fridge working on gas but not elec and also the battery charger was kaput. Have now fitted a victron smart blue battery charger and a new leisure battery and on elec hook up and battery charger switched on the fridge now working on elec and battery reading fully charged on the rear control panel. So progress.
I am trying to work out what the 'solid state' item with three wires red, blue and black does. It has a green LED light. it is located next to the leisure battery under the seat . The LED light is still illuminated even with everything switched off so wanted to know is that normal or do I have a fault that will eventually drain the leisure battery? Does anyone have a decent wiring diagram or hand drawn explanation?
Whilst fitting the new leisure battery, I noticed the original 30A fuse holder below one of the two 5 terminal relays showed signs of getting hot. I have replaced with separate 30A fuse holder that can sit in 'free air'
Other jobs to fix, the Thetford button to flush doesn't work
The water tank level gauge doesn't work on the rear control panel
I live in Kent and will be retiring soon so happy to travel to a decent auto-electrician if you can recommend one.
Any advice welcomed!
Many Thanks
Adrian

Re: SYMBOL relays and wiring diagram
Quick update, having had a look on t'internet it would appear the solid state device is a voltage sensing relay (VSR) to connect the two batteries but gives priority to prevent draining the main battery and let eg the fridge drain the leisure battery. Still looking into why light stays on and if I have a drain when everything switched off. The cables to the VSR are small so could be linked into two other relays. The standard wiring diagram in the book that came with the vehicle does not show this VSR and not clear. Anyone got a similar year and model eg Symbol or Symphony with similar set-up?

Post a photo but I think you are describing a battery master, it a simple device that trickle charges the starter battery from the leisure battery
