Kitchen mods

I cant find the thread giving details of how it was done, but due to the fact that AS assemble the cupboards before fitting, and the shelves are held in with steel pins through the sides, it was necessary to cut through the pins close to the edge of the shelf using an angle grinder with a cutting disc, the damage to the shelf does not matter as the shelves have to be narrowed slightly to acommodate the drawer runners.

It's a truly sensible modification. I'm surprised that Autosleepers have not copied it. I don't know if my handywork will come up to your standards...

They (AS) did copy (partly) Brians mods by adopting his door design on later vans and also other models. Bulldog01 took loads of pictures of Brians van mods

Of course if AS did a sliding drawer design similar to this it would of course be bare drawers rather than the specialised shelves that I have fitted, in case you wonder where the waste bin that AS fit in the cupboard went, a similar bin is now fitted to the inside of the accomadation door.

What is it you want to know, I can take extra photos if you require, Or if you happen to be in the Nottingham area at the end of the month I could show you. Here is a photo of one of the runners
this side is packed out to clear the door but on the other side the runner screws directly to the side of the cupboard that is assuming the door has been converted to a byfold.
