tyres
I have an autosleeper symbol which I bought in October. It is a 2000 model and has the original tyres which the treads are good but the tyre walls are cracked. The size of the tyres say 195/70 R 15 "C". I cannot seem to get a tyre with the "C" at the end as most seem to be R or T. Can anyone give me advice on whether the other tyres are suitable or do I have to stick with the "C". I need a complete set of tyres.
Thanks,
Maureen

Re: tyres
The C is for Commercial. Any tyre dealer should stock them. Do not use car tyres.

Re: tyres
Hi Maureen,
Definitely time to change them at 12 years old! Very few motorhome tyres do enough miles to need to be replaced because they are low on tread. Most people try to change them at 6-8 years old, unless they've been carefully stored.
The "C" typically means that the tyres are Light Commercial use rated - typically 8-ply construction, while a car tyre has fewer than 8. It is also possible to get motorhome rated tyres (often marked CP instead of C), but many people (including me) use light commercial vehicle rated tyres instead, as they are easier to find.
The R or T on the end will be the speed rating (106 and 118mph respectively).

An old version of this link has been on the forum in the past.
I recommend you read the pdf on the above page before buying your tyres - but by the sound of it don't wait too long to do it.

No idea which part of Cheshire you are from but i'm on Cheshire/Staffs border and use Harvey Tyres at Longton; [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Used them for years now as their prices are damn good and they won't fob you off with any old rubbish. Recommend them 100%.

Re: tyres
I'm getting due for some new front ones (wearing down, not cracking) and I thought I'd give Event Tyres a go:

Someone on here recommended them but I cannot remember who (Must be an age thing)
