Replacing rooflights
Hi, we are considering replacing the roof lights in our 1995 Duetto, does anyone know (or perhaps they have done it) can you fit the heki ones in (the ones with the push bar) instead of the original type?

Re: Replacing rooflights
I've done this many years ago when the new rooflights came out. It makes a big different to the light in any motorhome but particularly in small van conversions. I even submited a factsheet to A/S and got it published - probably my only claim to fame!

Re: Replacing rooflights
Ive just done it on my Duetto. Bit of an error though, the roof is very thick. Ive used the original plastic surround inside to cover the gap for now, but im on the look out for some neater plastic stripping to sort the job out properly.

That looks great, what thickness roof lights did you buy then cos I see they come in different thicknesses? And wondered what thickness I would need? Great job though I bet it lets more light in.

I got the max thickness ones... up to 60mm?? Wasnt enough though unfortunetly. You'll need to buy some longer screws for the job and some plastic stripping to cover the gap.
It lets loads more light in! I went for unvented too, as the old vents were venteand used to let loads of breeze in while we travelled. Its not a great picture, but if you look, you can see the amount of light the old vent lets in (its still in the background of the picture - not replaced that one yet
