Does anyone have experience of using this system? Our recently purchased vehicle came with this but without navigation software. We are trying to work out whether to buy the software or if we'd be better off with a separate gadget like the Garmin 780 for instance. Would love to read what others use.....

Doesn't it have Apple Play and Android Auto?  If it does, I would use that with Waze, Google Maps or Apple Maps on your mobile phone for Navigation.
