Intermittent beeping - 2023 Warwick XL
Help - Driving me mad.
A beeping sound has recently started inside the tall(ish) cupboard where the the table and leg are stored. The sound is coming from behind a black plastic cover where the aerial cable feeds into and wired out to the aerial signal gain controller.
I haven't opened the black box yet (just in case I blow it up).
It too a wee while to find as every time I stood up to locate it - it stopped - then started again as soon as I sat down in the driver's seat.
The beeping appears to only happen when the engine is running.
Any advice on how to stop it would be appreciated.
Allan.

Are you absolutely sure the sound is coming from the aerial JB cover as there is nothing inside there that will generate a beeping. I have had this cover off to reconfigure the wiring to by-pass my no longer present roof aerial.
The sound may be originating in the Sargent EC700 and is radiating through the wardrobe floor and up the bulkhead giving the impression that it is coming from the aerial JB. Soundwaves move in mysterious ways.
Could it be your step extended alarm which sounds as it is automatically retracting if you have left it extended and start the engine.
Please give feedback if you find out what it is.

If it stops when you stand up and starts when you sit down in drivers seat with engine running, it may well be triggered by some defect in seat belt warning.
As to where the sound is comming from it’s hard to comment from remote ,but as said previously there is nothing in black cover over aerial connections in wardrobe to give a beep.

That's a good point, it could also be a loose connector in the EM40 which is directly behind the drivers mounted in a wooden plinth which is fitted tight against the rear base of the seat, sitting down could possibly exert pressure on the wood plinth and distort it enough to affect any loose connector. EM40's are renowned for having poor connections.Kdc wrote:If it stops when you stand up and starts when you sit down in drivers seat with engine running, it may well be triggered by some defect in seat belt warning.

Is your water tank full by any chance? If so , drain some out and see if it still does it. There's a relay attached to the whale filler which clicks on and off.

Dear all,
My apologies for the delay in responding to your message..
I ended up resetting the EC700 which appears (touch wood) to have solved the beeping.
I have no idea why it started but the reason I tried a reset was down to the fact that, when I checked the control panel both the leisure and vehicle battery were shown at 14.
The readout over the AS Monitor showed 13.2 and 12.6 respectively so that gave me some hope in that, if I reset the EC700 then all should be well and, it is (gulp).
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] care please.
