Awning light
Good afternoon, can anyone tell me how to remove the awning light above the sliding door on my Warwick XL. Hopefully I can remove it and fit a new full length light using the existing wire that powers the short light that A/S fit from new. Any info thanks. Kevin

Re: Awning light
I did the that modification on a 2015 Kemerton, so there’s a strong likelihood you have the same awning light, namely a Labcraft Astro.
The curved end-covers slide out, in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the light fitting. They may be stuck with excess sealant used to stick the fitting to the bodywork but are otherwise designed to come out under finger pressure.
Once the covers are removed, if I recall correctly, there is a fixing screw at each end. With these removed you should be able to prise the fitting off the bodywork using a plastic trim-removal tool or something similar.
The LED strip will slide out of the housing and you can then cut the wires. I wasn’t able to pull anymore wire through from the van so had to make the connections to the new light as best I could, using crimped sleeves.
I guess you plan to use the Dometic Raintec light, which is what AS fit to their panel vans. I note that there’s now an alternative that looks very similar, called Dimatec and available from an eBay seller at a much lower cost.
These are designed to provide a rain gutter so make sure you run a bead of silicon along the top edge to seal the junction between the light fitting and the bodywork.
