The journey of a bar of Soap (ok, 20 bars).
I moan a lot about things these days, I guess it affects many of us of a certain age! Today though, I’m happy
Last Friday I ordered some of my favourite soap which is not readily available in the usual local stores but what I didn’t realise is that it was from a Spanish online company, the price including delivery was cheaper than anywhere else in the UK.
Royal Mail just knocked on my door with the package. I’ve just looked at it’s journey and couldn’t believe a few bars of soap could have got here in less than a week for the price I paid

What surprises me is not so much the prompt postage, but the fact that anyone uses bars of soap in this day and age! Each to their own, but I think the last time I saw a bar of soap in this house was in 1985..

I would rather use shower gel etc.. trust me I’ve wasted a lot of money on such items but they all contain ingredients that irritate.
The problem with soap and campsite showers however is the fact that most have gaps at floor level. I’ve had to ask for my soap back on more than one occasion.

Mine escaped to the next door shower recently, occupied of course. A voice from the other side asked "do you want your soap back?"
yes please I said, whilst thinking what did he think was my plan B?
