Re: soap dispenser.
If it is like mine, there should be a little white key to unlock the top.

Re: soap dispenser.
The key goes in the small hole. Have you looked in an adjacent drawer for the key, white with a small cross bar on the bottom, about 20mm long.
This thread will help, can be opened with a small screwdriver through the hole, 1/4 turn.

Apparently the keys are very difficult to get hold of.

Re: soap dispenser.
Do they fit one of these Fiamma ones as standard? We have a similar unbranded one in our present van but there was nothing in our Bourton when we previewed it a few days ago. We have bought a Fiamma one to put in once the van is ours.

As per Ploughlin, just use a small screwdriver. We have saved the key and keep it in the house with the other van bits.

The key to mine was sellotaped to one of the papers that came with the van, I have never used it, heard that they leak, is this true from those that do use it.?

The key is permanently in the lock on my dispenser, it was there when I bought the van and I've just left it in place.
We use the dispenser all the time and it's never leaked, but even if it did it would only be into the washbowl.

If mine did leak it would go over the toilet, as I have a tip up sink. that is why I haven`t used it.

The one in our Duo does drip a little, but not enough to prevent us from using it. It is installed above the toilet roll holder and so the odd drip goes onto the tissue; not a big issue for us.

Re: soap dispenser.
You lot are making me proper upset. We haven't got a dispenser.
I'm not sure how or where it could be fitted on the swing wall, but will have a look tomorrow with a view to getting one. Sounds like a useful gadget to me. Don't know why I haven't thought of it before - something else to go on the list.

Re: soap dispenser.
We find ours really useful, being secured to the wall over the fixed sink it's always handy. I suspect that slight drips may be caused by filling with thin (read cheap) hand/body wash.

Securing it there is obviously an ideal position, but it may not be easy on our van. I don't think yours has the swing wall does it? I'm not sure about screwing into the plastic and I doubt if sticky pads would hold over time, specially if we find any hot weather.

Try industrial strength stick on Velcro.
We fixed a first aid kit to the bulkhead wall of a previous van. On the one occasion that we needed to take it to use outside we couldn't pull it off the wall. It coped with Spain and Morocco in summer and changes in humidity from cooking etc. It was still there, as solidly stuck as ever, when we sold the van.

I fixed mine to the wall using the stick pads provided, 2 years and counting still OK.

Thanks Quilter and Peter.
I'll give it a try with the stickies first. Nothing lost if it falls off, it won't damage anything falling from only a few inches.

Ours came with the van and we find it really useful, it has never leaked but we only half fill it.

Re: soap dispenser.
Is it just the top that comes off the soap dispenser? I have located the small hole in which to put a small flat bladed screw driver but could not work out which part lifts/pulls etc. The dispenser is somewhat gunged up with old soap and looks as if it has been like that some time. It is white plastic and possibly a clear plastic body when clean. Any advice would be welcome.

On mine it's just the white top that comes off, the body is translucent blue.

Re: soap dispenser.
We used to have a Duetto on a MK7 Transit and this had the same kind of soap dispenser as mentioned above. The top comes off easily with either the supplied plastic tool, or a small screwdriver to rotate the internal catch and then the plastic top just lifts off. Various colours of dispenser have been fitted over the years and the one in Our Duetto was a white top and bottom, with a clear body (through which the level of the liquid soap could be seen).

Re: soap dispenser.
On ours, the top comes off for refilling; once off, a small lever is revealed which can be activated to allow the whole dispenser to slide upwards and away from the mounting bracket.

Re: soap dispenser.
Your soap dispenser has a pin number?
How expensive is the liquid soap you use?
