Warwick XL V5C document query
Hi all,
1st of a few questions/query’s hopefully someone could answer for us.
Could someone check on their V5C document (logbook) under section J Vehicle category: and whether this is left blank or has M1 entered in it.
I’ve asked more specifically for a Warwick XL model if possible but suspect other models could/would have same entries so any help would be appreciated. I do know original from Fiat is possibly N1 category then converted, just with this been a panel van conversion not a motorhome wether this stays blank or moves to M1 based on it being a minibus van as such from Fiat.
Thanks in advance for any help answers

Hi Paul
Thanks for this, yes the CoC would help but we are just in process of pressing button to buy and not viewed the CoC as yet, also that link does help to some extent but it a motorhome and still classed as M1, ours currently a motorhome but that section blank but plated over 3,500kg so maybe why.
Cheers Sheppy

Monty
Thanks for the response.
For anyone else viewing this, the query was just with regard to future updating above 3,500kg for payload and this normally then goes to PHGV classification for taxation so 2 fold
Recently have heard about a few people experiencing some issues doing this very common procedure those with C1 entitlement on licence and 3,500kg plated vans.
The recent issue seen is that DVLA have not been changing the revenue weight section(which relates to taxation class) but have changed the MAM section. My query was just to find out if these vans have the M1 classification which basically includes pretty much most cars etc. and minibuses upto 8 seats etc. which these vans are derived from from the fiat N1 commercial plate to Autosleepers conversions to the private M1 class.
Rightly or wrongly if they leave the revenue weight @ 3,500kg which would be M1 classification as it is max 3,500kg from my understanding.
Then the tax classifation would not change to PHGV >3,500kg
My ever hopeful thinking will be if section J is empty it may complete as normal, I do know the companies that complete this processs are aware of the new issue and are working with relevant bodies and DVLA
Again for reference the reason these companies are working on this is, in simple terms revenue weight is directly related to the MAM so both should show same on V5C
Hope this might help some others if info needed
