No water from taps

Autosleeper Clubman - 1978 model, New Shurflo Trail 7 pump fitted.  Seems to be trapped air in system somewhere - suspect the Carver Cascade Rapide, but can't get water flow.  Any suggestions.  Pump runs, but I can't see any water going through the strainer...  Any suggestions

The Shurflo is designed to suck water out of the freshwater tank through its strainer.  If as you say water isn't reaching the strainer, it can only be that there is a blockage in the pipe leading to the strainer from the freshwater tank or, much more likely, the Shurflo is sucking air instead of water.  It will suck air if there is any leak in or around the strainer or the pipe leading to from the freshwater tank it, or, if the end of the pipe is not under water in the freshwater tank.  The most likely causes are a leaking poorly fitted pipe connection, a cracked strainer or a missing or poorly fitted rubber seal between the two screwed parts of the strainer.

Silly question but is the water tank full?
