No water at taps.....however....
I just want to thank this forum for helping to resolve our very desperate problem.
As i imagine a lot of us have not used our beloved motor homes Because of lockdown due to coronavirus and indeed coronavirus as a whole....
We took the step of deciding to find a site close to home but a tranquil place where we can have a break with our dogs, relax and try and forget the world....
We were doing all the normal prep.... including a massive scrub of the outside and roof...
However on filling up the water tank we found we had no water coming through any of the taps, however water pump was working... the heater was full of water, when i dumped the water it came out.
I rang Autosleeper etc, they were helpful but could not solve my problem, but they did say possibly an air lock, he suggested wacking the pump and tank!
I searched on this wonderful site and found a suggestion that said “drive around a bumpy road, it may dislodge the air lock” ... this we did yesterday, and guess what we have water through taps and shower.....
We can now hopefully spend those few days away now.
So....a very big thank you to all of you for helping us.... hopefully i can return the help I was given..

It’s funny but the solutions are not always high tech....just a bit of “been there done that” experience to pass on.Miss DaisyMay wrote:

Thanks for the thanks, as I was one of those who suggested it. Pleased it worked for you.
If it becomes a pain in the backside, I'd also suggest you consider a Shurflo pump.
They are the definition of "Fit and forget"!

Not good advice for winter time.
I suspect its a design fault in the water system allowing an air lock.
Most systems need a few mins to clear after winter.

Wouldn't leave water in during winter time.

Yep that's the one I fitted on Daves advice, got it on eBay about £50, I went for a 20 PSI as I didn't want to over load the connections etc, works fine plenty of water flow.
I expect someone will suggest you fit a Fiamma a20 tank to help flow, but I have not found the need as I have no pulsing and pump turns off/on when taps open.

Likewise Richard, and I can see no point in fitting something if you clearly don't need it.rgermain wrote:I expect someone will suggest you fit a Fiamma a20 tank to help flow, but I have not found the need as I have no pulsing and pump turns off/on when taps open.
