Assistance in waste drainage
I have a 2017 Symbol based on a Fiat Ducato with the customary Auto-Sleeper fresh water and waste water drainage taps. I have already replaced the hoses and the taps but my problem is getting down to unclip and switch the taps to drain. More accurately I can get down but with my increasing senior years I can't get up again ! Has anybody modified these fittings to be easier to access and operate ? Is it even beyond reasons to have mechanical valves fitted like other motorhomes ? I would welcome comments. Bill.

Re: Assistance in waste drainage
If it helps,I made this mod to the waste drain, removing the blue tap, it may help?

A few of us have fitted electrically operated valves. I fitted my waste valve over 4 years ago and it has performed faultlessly (touch wood I haven’t now cursed it!) and made emptying a breeze.

So a switch at driver seat base and a tap if wanted if I was on a service pitch but I don’t even use sites so not been used but is there if required. Yes another mod and is so much better to just drive over the drain not have to get out more so if it’s raining and was what made me do the mod
