2006 Topaz water tank level
Morning all,
My fresh water tank level gauge the type that you switch manual with rocker switch from battery to tank is no longer showing water in tank despite being half full.
Could anyone explain the operation of this so I can investigate. I'm assuming it's a bit like a fuel sender unit using a resistance value so wondering if earthing the incoming wire not that I have found it yet will read full scale.
Thanks for any advice
Zeberdy

I had that gauge on my Nuevo. The gauge did the same but after a few weeks started working again, I didn't investigate so can't help you but I too would check wiring connection first.

Thanks for reply, from further research appears may use 5 different length stainless probes that despite being stainless are prone to corrosion.
Some people report putting citric acid in tank and driving around for a bit may help. Failing that I will have to find out how to remove it may have to drop tank to do it.

My Nuevo was a 2006 also and I wouldn't have had to drop tank as mine had access hatch underneath so maybe yours does too albeit a Topaz. Cleaning probes would be easy if it has.
