warwick xl 12volt power used when off grid
Good morning, my warwick xl we went out for the night no tv on just the fridge on gas and the hot water on gas ..no heating on . The display advised 100% charge when we went out and when i checked when leaving it shows 80%
Do the fridge and the water heater use any of the leisure battery's Power???
Thanks

Yes both the control panels and displays consume 12v energy all the time.
The battery capacity indication is not 'real', its an arithmetic guess based on many factors. Battery voltage is the accurate measure of battery charge state.

Don't forget to disconnect battery and wait 1 hour before taking reading or voltage will not be correct.

As a guide a fully charged normal lead acid battery will be 12.2v when discharged and 12.7v when fully charged, both readings as Peter say min of 20mins idle after charging, and both off load.
What voltage should a 12V lead acid battery?
A 12-volt lead-acid battery that is fully charged often provides a voltage of about 12.7V. If the lead-acid battery only has 20% left, it will only deliver 11.6V.

If you are talking about the battery amp % reading on the display above the sliding door I would ignore this as at best it is just a guess , it drifts overtime and needs recalibration, ,you are best to fit some sort of voltage meter with a shunt to get accurate readings
