Shurflo pump - use at very slow rate
Would appreciate comments on a concern I have please. The original water pump had persistent re-balancing problems, so under warranty AS retro-fitted a different type of pump - a 20psi Shurflo. This works fine except that sometimes my wife runs the water so slowly (to wash fruit or whatever) that the pump pulsates rather than runs continoulsly. What then happens is that this pulsating mode remains - either until a lot of water has been drawn through at full speed, or if we drive and set up camp somewhere at which point the pump seems to have re-set itself to run continuoulsy.
So my question is, is having such a slow flow of water that the pump pulsates bad for the pump?
Thanks

Same happens when my wife cleans her teeth, running next to no water. Pump pulses, not found it to do any harm yet. We have a Shurflo 20psi pump.

Have a read of this:

specifically Switch Shut Off
Yes it is bad for the pump just as it was for the Whale. We don't restrict the water flow by only just opening a tap.
