shurflo fresh water pump

Can anyone help me, please. I have just replaced my shurflo pump with a new one in my 2001 Symbol. The new pump works fine BUT my pump run light no longer glows when the pump is running. I'm sure it used to glow when the pump was running with the old shurflo in place. Has anyone got any suggestions? Thanks.

Have you switched 12v switch on.

Sorry didn't read that properly, have you tried on hookup.

Pumps run on 12v so don't see that hook up would make any difference. Are wiring connections on new pump exactly the same as old pump?

Think zimmy means that pump ok but green mains light not on zig.
Unless there's another light.

Depends on the panel, some have a red 'pump running' light, which is what I assumed he meant.

My symbol is the same age as yours and the little light underneath the water pump on/off switch lights up when the pump runs. Bit pointless really as you can hear the pump when its running,

Thanks guys, yes it's the red 'Pump Run' light which no longer lights since changing pump. I agree with Chris, it is a bit pointless as you can hear the pump running, but I would have liked to restore the system to it's previous working order. Thanks.
