Morning Dave, just back in from a great cool walk with Tag. Watched sunrise at 4.50 without a cloud in the sky,only jet contrails.
Van is looking like a prospectors donkey with all the kit inside .

13 degrees after some rain overnight,  washing left out to dry is as wet as when it was put out yesterday afternoon.

Off to Livingston so management and no2 daughter can go shopping. Taking the van as a base so she can come back for a rest if fibromyalgia kicks in (and gives me somewhere to hide)

8am and it's 17°c outside, still a bit overcast and we may get some of those well forecasted thunderstorms later. After the early rain yesterday it was dry and very warm, could be the same today.

Dry, overcast but should brighten up later then its back to the sunshine. Todays joyful task is hedge cutting along the lane that leads to our house, should keep me off the streets for a few hours.

17 degrees in Beadnell and set to stay at 17 all day according to forecast,  seems very odd.  We had a tiny drop of rain at 3am , sun blazing down now.

Turned out hot this lunch time, 22 under the parasol,Tag is crashed out under the wooden bench in the shade.

Just hit 27°c here, overnight temperature is forecast at 15°c.

How wrong they were, 23 now.

14 degrees and quite hazy and misty this morning but should burn off when the sun comes out later on.  Forecast is for another hot one today so get the sunscreen looked out folks.

15 in Beadnell rising to 17! They were totally wrong yesterday,  I think they may be wrong again today. We move down coast today, so we shall see !

Had a BBQ last evening, nice bit if Venison (no jokes about how expensive it is please  ), it was bright and sunny with large spots of rain falling. Back up to 17°c now and 27° c on the cards for later but the thunderstorms will hit the west coast today. We might get them, we might not 

Looks like the hot weather will break down at the weekend.........just in time for our next trip away

Slightly overcast but sun breaking through 18 degrees, looks like another hottie later. Bit of an easy day today, mowing before coffee then see what management requires of me. Van ready for tomorrow's MOT.

20 degrees here already. Cut grass in front of fence at front of house before heat got too much.

Emptied van after yesterday's shopping excursion, wallet took a hammering as management needed lots of new summer clothes, lost 3 stone in past year so not much fitted any more.

Waiting on two new wiper blades being delivered for van,  MOT due next week and noticed streaking from drivers side wiper.

Too hot.  34 degrees and bright sunshine.  Gonna plug the van in and get the fridge on and get the Guinness chilling nicely for this weekends trip.

Our fridge is on at 4 , San Miguel chilling nicely,might need a top up by Friday.

Nearly 5 weeks without rain, and none in forecast. Makes up for March and April!

Morning Boaby.  14 degrees and bright and sunny this morning with more of the same as yesterday forecast.

Another bright start with a gentle breeze. Typically it looks like this weather is forecast to change next week when we are away. No matter we won’t be kept at home that’s what waterproofs hats and brollies are for.

Another nice start though going to be cooler than yesterday.

Re rain, and rain generally.

We inherited a 60's kidney shaped pond in the back garden when we moved here. We enlarged it with timbers and a liner.
Some yrs later we made another, slightly larger, adjoining it. Neither are huge, biggest is 12 x 8 ft and just 9" deep.

In the last few years we've struggled all summer to keep both full, so last winter we binned the 2nd one and made it a deep bed for veg.

This summer (and indeed winter and spring) we are now out of all butt water, the only kind we allow into the pond. We have butts on all rooves, total of 5 in all. All are now empty and the pond is 3" low from full

There is no rain forecast.....

16°c and should rise by 10 degrees later. Yesterday the guage hit 30 in the shade for a short time, didn't feel too bad as there was a little breeze. Bit of shopping to do and a lunch out on the cards.

On the road or not, take it easy and enjoy your day.

That was a hot one, still 27 degrees now, dropped the van for its MOT (failed on brake pipes but I was half expecting that) Lady G picked me up in her Z4 for a drive around and a wander on Pendower beach, arrived with the roof down but it got so flipping hot we had to put it up with the aircon to keep cool!
Looks like it will be changing towards the weekend, badly need the rain.
