Re: Weather
My wife has cut my hair for the last 40 years or so. In gardening terms it used to take an hour and involved the full range of tools, including the mower and edging shears. Now it's more like 10 minutes with a strimmer
Brightened up a bit here, that is, it's now a lighter grey outside.

Tis a miserable day here again - grey and showers. It’s sure been a bad time for holidaymakers in Cornwall this year.

Hello, anybody out there.
Sunny with lots of dark clouds here, high chance of rain so I've got to watch the washing just in case

Re: Weather
Blue skies here in the East Neuk but looks like scattered showers coming from your side of the country. Risking doing some outside painting just now, may be a mistake!

Forum was of the net lads, tried at 6, still very warm and dry, dozens of bikers in town this morning, local cafes are getting their trade.
Great day at the show yesterday nice to see all the old steam engines and Gallopers.
Low pressure heading our way, have a nice day.

Re: Weather
Grey in between showers then brief sunny spells. All a bit dire for the beachgoers. Tall ships in Falmouth next week so will be busy , off to the ferry for us on Friday. Hoping there is still gas at Saltash services still avaiable, sure TW will know! If not will get it in France.
Have a great day all

I think it’s still selling LPG, GH, but things change so quickly.
There’s this one near Redruth but not very handy unless you’re travelling that way.

Re: Weather
Thanks TW that is where I went last fill up, sort of garden centre that sells shrubs and owner has a tank of gas which he sells off as he is an RV enthusiast. As you say just a bit off the beaten track. Cornwall services on A30 don't sell it anymore. Opie Oils were good for me but yet again no more gas.

Re: Weather
It seems to be getting harder to find in this area. In a way, I’m glad we no longer have a tank.

Re: Weather
An overcast and slightly chilly start for our walk on the bank top at Barton. We got within the last 1/4 mile from the car park and it started drizzling. By the time we started lunch it was dry again. It’s the sort of day you don’t want to carry a coat but being summer showers it’s not too bad getting a bit damp.

Morning folks,
14 degrees and damp. Overnight rain has stopped at least. Forecast is to be overcast all day but dry (we shall see).
Have a good day and stay safe if out and about.

Hope the weather keeps improving your way Roger, we're heading that way next week, in the meantime, we had no rain yesterday The BBC say it will stay dry and get warmer today, Google says it will rain later and get warmer Who to trust.
Lots to do today, take care all.

Stair rods here on Anglesey - probably my wettest 5 miler ever in August, even the Spaniels wanted to get back in the van! Typically, it will probably be dry in an hour or two….

Lovely sunny morning here in the East Neuk although some cloud cover has started coming in, forecast to be dry until evening.
However we pay little heed to weather forecasts here as we seem to have our own little microclimate. I'm convinced there's some sort of rain magnet in Largo Law as precipitation from the west seems often to peter out there, leaving us dry. St Andrews just up the road has supposedly one of the lowest rainfall and highest sunshine levels in Scotland.
It can be made up for by the haar which sometimes sets in, often for days on end.
Enjoy your visit.

Re: Weather
Muttly proved how lazy he is this morning. He was still in bed when I went down to make breakfast. Opening the dining room door he looked at the rain and went back to bed. I will be dragging a soggy dog round the walk but he has to go rain or not. He came to us with bladder problems and he will hold off going to the toilet unless he has a walk if only to the end of the street.

Morning folks,
Wet this morning and 14 degrees. Forecast is that it should dry up later on. Hoping the weather improves towards the end of the week so I can get the van ready for our trip up north next week as it is in dire need of a right good wash.

Re: Weather
After a wet night,it's dried up nicely, beautiful sunrise, good walk with Tag along the coastal path, keeping of the muddy grass.
Good luck with the van cleaning Dave, needing to replace some garden fence panels before winter sets it.
Have a nice day, all

Re: Weather
BBC were right yesterday, not a drop of rain fell.and it got very warm into the afternoon. It's been dry here overnight so I guess there must be localised showers if you are unlucky. Looks like another warm and dry day ahead
Take care all
