Water Inlet Flap Empty Water Inlet Flap

Post by westjj42 Tue Jun 06, 2023 10:06 am

Hello - My water inlet flap on my 2011 Kemerton won’t stay shut when on the move. I have tried securing it shut with a light tap of my hand but it seems the flap likes to dance around in the wind when travelling at speed. I’m worried it will eventually fail and fall off. Currently it’s held shut with some good old Duck Tape! I’m wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem and whether I should try and replace it?? Appreciate your thoughts 😎

Have you tried a good thump rather that a light tap?

Our EHU socket flap became brittle and gave up clipping closed yonks ago. I fixed two pairs of Velcro spots near the bottom as a temporary measure; they're still doing the job years later!   allthumbz

I use adhesive velcro round pads to keep my electric hook-up flap shut when not in use; might such pads work for your water inlet flap?
