Kingham insulation in overcab area
It’s a 2018 Kingham. In recent heavy rains there is a small amount of water that collects and or drips for a few moments from the cab interior light moulding in the centre of the windscreen. It’s not a continuous drip like I would expect from a leak. The windscreen and central aerial have been checked by windscreen fitter and pronounced sound. Removal of the interior light reveals bare metal of the van. Condensation has been suggested as a cause. If so I assume due to the metal cooled by the rain against the internal heating. There is no evidence of any damp to the headlining or any other roof areas. Does anyone know if the area above the cab, which is timber lined, has any insulation or has had problems with condensation in this area. Thanks

I posted my experience (photo) in the thread linked below. Your symptoms appear to be the same as mine which might help confirm the cause of the dripping water.

Thanks for responding. Glyne Lock, did you remove the decorative roof panel of the overcab area to check behind that?

Re: Kingham insulation in overcab area
Yes
First the side panels then the main roof panel
There is some insulation but I have now got this area fully insulated
A/Sleeper only put a small amount of insulation to pass the heat test for the grade.the heater it self could pass this test with out any insulation
With the extra insulation I have done ref back doors i can get out the shower and it’s much warmer
My camper stays warmer the heater doesn’t need to work so much
I have also got insulation covers for all the windows and is much warmer so yes I have fitted lots of extra insulation
