What pressure do you run them at? (PSI)jennyandpeter wrote:Fitting 225 75 Michelin cross agilis crossclimates on our van has been the best change we have made. So much more confortable.
I did think about getting 16 inch wheels but decided to keep it looking original.[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Re: Wheel and Tyre Upgrade
jennyandpeter,
What tyre size did it have before fitting 225/75/15?
Are you sure your current tyre is 225/75/15? In the photo it looks like 225/70/15. I don't think there is a 225/75/15 C or CP tyre.

Re: Wheel and Tyre Upgrade
For your speedo it'll more likely be a take off from the ABS sensor in one wheel. (V8oholic)
There are very few speedo's even remotely close to accurate, my, considerable, experience has shown that 3 to 5mph in error (over read) is about as good as it gets.
Off post a bit but my Skoda Yeti has a tyre low pressure warning, indicating a puncture.
There are no pressure sensors in the wheels. It works by setting the pressure you require, as accurately as possible, then pressing a calibrate button.
From then on it measures each wheel rpm from the ABS sensors, if one is deflating, it's OD is reducing and its rpm increasing. This alerts the system which puts on a warning light. I thought that very clever and, one of my aims, simplicity!!
I have a GPS head up display in the van and a speed readout on the GPS nav. Both agree and both always agree with roadside speed warnings here and in EU. That's good enough for me. Van speedo is 65mph for a true 60. GPS doesn't care about tyre size or wheel diameter, only that the sensor is moving!!
