Pug Harmony -working under with wheel ramps?
I want to give the underside of our 1999 Pug Harmony a good clean and paint.
I've seen some extra wide 2500kg wheel ramps on Amazon. I would only be elavating one end at a time so the ramps would not be taking the full weight. ( I believe 2800kg )
Just a bit nervous as they are a tall vehicle, although I would be adding a jack and axle stands.
Has anyone here used wheel ramps for maintenance on their motorhome to put my mind at ease?
Cheers Paul

Yes - I used to use a pair of steel ramps when working on my Transit-based Flair - about the same weight as a Harmony - and I never had any safety issues at all. I did what you suggest, and added an axle stand each side - not actually carrying any weight, but positioned to act as a backup under a strong part of the chassis if one of the ramps failed.
I stopped using the ramps after a while - not because of any safety issues, but because I found them quite difficult to get the van up - they were quite steep and had a tendency to slide away on tarmac.

I’d have reasonable confidence in the mile coming plastic ones we use to level the van.

Autocorrect strikes again. Love "mile coming" as replacement for Millenco.
