Symphony - Cover over leisure battery?
The leisure battery in my Symphony is under the drivers seat, when the seat is moved forwards the top of the battery is completely exposed.
Is this correct/Should it have a cover fitted?

Re: Symphony - Cover over leisure battery?
Thanks for that guys.
I would prefer it if it was covered, as we have managed to have a sleeping bag fall onto the top of the battery before, which I didn't want it to be damaged by any acid residue. I assume the battery must need to vent, that is why its not covered?

Re: Symphony - Cover over leisure battery?
Neither has mine, & I didn't like it either, the new second battery I fitted under the pass-seat is in a plastic battery box with a moulded lid,
so I cut a piece of twin-wall cardboard to fit over the top, & drapes down the sides about 3".
Tip: if you measure the battery top, then give an extra 3" all around, pencil the top shape in the centre, then score the shape using the back
of a spoon or knike-handle, bend along the score-lines, remove the corners & glue or staple to give a nice stiff,'custom' battery-lid

Battery cover
Hi SJR,
Modelman has beaten me to it, but my suggestion was a piece of thin plywoodwith some thin wooden batten round the edges, but Modelmans idea would be easier for some.
