Options for carrying a kayak
Hi,
I have a 1999 Ford Transit Flair and I am wanting to take my Kayak away on trips with me, however I there does not seem to be any options for roof bars with extra long struts or a method of securing it to the side of the high top (for example).
I was wondering if anyone is aware of a solution for this problem.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Can you just carry it inside your van?

Hi Dibsy,
I tried it out after your suggestion but the kayak is too long to fit.
Looks like I will just have to buy myself a shorter one if there are no external options.
Thanks for the help though

My Pyranha Burn 2 fits down the centre of our Warwick with the bed folded away. Fill it with BA, spray deck, throwline etc
Can't use the roof rails fitted with bars as the rails are just a cosmetic fitment incapable of carrying any load.
