Why is a pump running ?
I apologise for all the newbie campervan questions !
After 40+ years of caravanning I have been used to arriving at my destination and switching on the main power switch and the pump switch. This meant that whenever I wanted to use a tap, for instance, the pump was connected. In my 2017 Symbol whenever I press the pump switch a pump starts and the display shows a drain on the leisure battery of 3.00A/3.01A and goes on for sometime although no taps are being touched. This is not so much a problem when on hookup but is more of a battery drain issue when not on hook up. I now have got in the habit of only pressing the pump switch when I want to use a tap.
Am I doing something wrong ? Bill.

How long is "sometime" and after the pump stops does it ever start again without a tap being opened?

Difficult to say but I would say 30 mins to one hour. It only starts after the pump switch on the control panel is turned on never on it's own. Once turned on the taps all seems to work normally.Peter Brown wrote:How long is "sometime" and after the pump stops does it ever start again without a tap being opened?

Sounds like a slight leak in your plumbing but try adjusting the pump first:

As Peter suggests, the pressure switch is a good place to start. In a Symbol it’s the white knob in the centre of the picture (under the sofa).

Demfinitely sounds like the pressure switch - you may find you need a slightly different adjustment when on 240v and on the leisure battery too
