Hi Folks I have '98 Duetto,

Hi Folks I have '98 Duetto,
the hot tap in the kitchen has stopped working, cold is ok.
I've checked the shower and bathroom taps and all are ok - water running freely
when I turn the cold tap I can hear a slight click but not on the hot tap.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that these taps are not
microswitch ones but a pressure system - which is why it seems weird that one works and one doesn't.
Does the tap need replacing?
How the heck do you access them
Thanks for the help

Not a design I recognise but similar to this...

Maybe replace with that if tap centre distance match. Access may be through outside fridge grills but not familiar with the Duetto although would think similar to Symphony .

Thank you,
I'll check the centres. That sounds like nice easy access
Any idea why just 1 tap would pack up, purely curiosity
Thanks

No idea, not sure whether taps would have a simple washer or a cartridge.

Re: 98 duetto
Hi
I’d suggest checking that the red pipe from the water heater to the tap is also full of water before you buy a new tap. If you loosen the hose (which you would have to do to change the tap anyway) water should dribble out and the pump start. If it does it points to a faulty tap, if it doesn’t the fault is elsewhere.
Ideally have someone by the pump switch to swich it off when you shout (to avoid a flood). Failing that just tighten the clip quickly.

They are probably separate tap mechanisms.Good2Go wrote:Any idea why just 1 tap would pack up
