Re: Weather
Have a great trip Tony take it easy. We have not moved for three days now just us and 3 French vans in an aire for about 30.
Bit more cloud today which is welcome as it has been pretty hot. 24 degrees.
Easy lunch then a swim and evening paddle along the sandy beach. May even have to embibe in a wee whisky later to toast you all.
Have a great day all

Thanks folks, think we'll be needing our raincoats
Lovely start to the day here, sunny and bright but cool. Forecast to get up to 21°c later, nice travelling weather.
Hope the new boots are not pinching Boaby

No wellies aboard, we like to live dangerously
Enjoying the late evening sun in the south of Scotland on our way to Barnard Castle (no specsavers jokes please). Looks like we're in for a bit of a battering there, weatherwise. Heading over to bangers and cash country after that and then home via the lakes.

Re: Weather
Barnard Castle has nice CMC site, extended earlier this year with another 20 pitches but facilities block not increased, quite a walk from new pitches to shower block. Bowes museum highly recommended with lovely tearoom. Also not too far to railway museum at Shildon
Might see you in the Lakes, we are booked in to small site at Sizergh Barn from Friday next week for four nights

Haven't moved for a week still sunny 27 degrees today but have had storms at night. Heading off tomorrow for a change of scene, place called Nozay in Loire but have no idea what is there. Just chasing the sun as it is going to be wet over the coast.
Enjoy your travels Tony and all take care.

Warm and a bit showery this morning, think it will be like this all day. It's not enough to stop us getting out and the BBQ is getting fired up later whatever the weather
Enjoy your trip GH, hope the sunshine holds out. Sorry for those of you with inclement weather, like me

After 10 days of rain in Hopeman, Bunree and Killin, enough was enough for us, plus we picked up COVID again, son and daughter in law too, thankfully the wee great grand daughter didn't get it.
Happy holidays everyone.

Re: Weather
After a grey and muggy start this morning it got brighter and warmer by lunch time. Management decided to try and tame the front garden. This required my attention to hack down, I think the gardening term is prune, the rose that was a bit wild.
There are some plants I don’t get the idea of roses being one of them. I started gently removing the leggy bits but ended up resorting to the tree saw. If the thorns didn’t scratch me they stuck in my T shirt. Apparently when management was a florist one of her jobs was to de thorn roses they sold so the customers didn’t get scratched.
Now the sun is off the front I will carry on packing for tomorrows trip. Hopefully this calmer weather will hold for our crossing to the Hook of Holland. A bumpy crossing would not be a good start to my trip.

Re: Weather
Very pleasant afternoon here, broken sunshine and quite warm. Had our BBQ and ate outside, we know there's rain on the way overnight but it was good to get a few hours of fresh air. Only downside was the wasps

Overnight rain was heavy enough to keep us awake at times but it's now sunny with a clear sky and pretty warm. Quite breezy too so it feels fresh.
