Wing mirror protection
Are wing mirror protectors worth having and which ones are best for the Nuevo? Are they all the same size?

Re: Wing mirror protection
I have Milencos but I know Mirrorguards are far superior having a shell like a motorcycle helmet. Cost £140 compared with half that for Milenco. There are two models from either brand, one for short arm mirrors (only on van conversions) and the other for medium or long arm (fitted to coachbuilts).
Although mostly cosmetic the Milenco will provide some protection but probably only at low speed, Mirrorguards give much greater protection. A complete mirror assembly costs around £400 from Peugeot or around half price for copies on eBay.

Re: Wing mirror protection
We have had Milenco mirror guards on our previous vans ,look good but offer very little protection against a hard hit.
Latest Mirror guards are much stronger than the original ones, however some members have had them stolen from their van.
Each to their own really, have a nice day.

Re: Wing mirror protection
Having had a mirror smashed a couple of months ago I replaced a complete driivers door mirror on my 2014 WXL including temperature sensor heated and electric mirrors. Was about £130 from www.wingmirrorman.co.uk came within 48hours and took about an hour to do the switch. Compared to £400 plu labour for dealer to do it.
I have added Milenco white guards to make my mirrors more visible. Haven't had them tested in anger yet but happy so far.

Re: Wing mirror protection
I just sold some Mirror Guards on this forum. They are excellent and they are likely to save you the cost of an expensive mirror replacement. We have traded our Broadway for a Bourton and unfortunately we are told that you can’t fit protectors to the Mercedes. All Boxer models are standard I believe but you can check with Mirror Guard who are very responsive to queries.

Are they worth it?
Yes, only last Friday I was parked at the side of the road when a sprinter passed to close, big bang the sprinter mirror was all over the floor but mine didn't have a mark on it.
Only had the van since may.

Mirrorguards for me and yes they are definitely worth it. The Peugeot black plastic mirror housing looks far more robust than it is. It is easily cracked as I found out when I inadvertently brushed the nearside mirror against a hedge in a narrow Devon lane.

Mirror Protectors..
Hi Peter,Peter styles wrote:Are wing mirror protectors worth having and which ones are best for the Nuevo? Are they all the same size?
I bought the Mirror Guards from Born Again on this site and they were exactly as he described and very tough, unfortunately when I tried to fit them I discovered that the wing mirrors on my Nuevo were two different sizes, obviously the drivers side had suffered from a collision and been replaced with the wrong mirror although it does work perfectly. I had never noticed the short one before, I had no reason to.
If you are interested I would be willing to sell them to you.
I paid seventy pounds which was half new price and I would let you have them for sixty pounds plus postage if you are interested, they would fit your unit.
