Symbol (Peugeot Boxer) electric window failur
Hi all,
Anyone had experience of an electric window failing on a Boxer, and how to remedy it, please? We're advised that it needs a replacement motor and that'll be £350, thanks, but that seems steep. What else should we be looking at before deciding whether to just put up with it or spend?

Ebay has motors and fixings for about £60 if you can fit it. Without replacement how can you open and close window? I don't think you can put a winding handle on.

Thanks, inspiredron, I'll have a look. The winding handle idea was something we hoped others could advise on, so we'll see. And, of course, without replacing the motor, we couldn't open the window, hence my comment about "just putting up with it" (we've known worse on previous older vans!!)

I had a problem with a 2009 Boxer nearside window not operatin, I could hear a relay klicking but window would not open. Took out fuse cleaned blades and replaced fuse, window then operated as normal.

Thanks, njr001. We don't hear any attempted-connection sounds at all, sadly. Think we'll live with it for now, until we're back from Orkney, then get it properly looked at.

Presume that you have checked the fuse. The two sides may have different fuses? Also worth checking th eswitch with a multimeter. It may just pop out of its housing or frame.
