fan running on our Sargent 325 non stop
Hi everyone hope you're all coping with this lockdown, our motorhome has sat in our driveway for 20 months ,we noticed the fan in our sargent is running 24/7 ,we phoned sargent and the nice gentleman said ignore it it could run for ages or it could pack in tomorrow, my husband said lets get it replaced, we live in Fife but phoning around has been fruitless does anyone out there know of someone who will replace this, and also will the control panel still be usable with a new EC 328 .Hope to hear from all you really clever chaps out there Thanks Vinessa

No one in Sargent technical support at the moment has a clue how the EC325 works, I had to send them a copy of their own documentation and talk them through it - needless to say they were no help in that instance.
I replace my EC325 with an EC328 and retained the same controller, its very straight forward as the plug configuration on both units is identical.
To check if you can use the existing controller, enter the system summary screen by pressing and holding the left arrow key. It will be set at EC325, scroll up or down and check that EC328S is available.
When the EC328 is selected it is likely that you will have software version 2.20, is you want to use a solar panel over 100w you will have to have the software upgraded by Sargent to version 2.22

When I changed my EC325 (for same reason) the old CP didn't work, despite Sargent guiding me through menu checks.
You might be lucky, or not.

Sargent told be to use EC328T as Autosleeper specific but that did not work. EC328S though does work.

My old panel was not branded "Sargent", but "Autosleeper", and didn't have a EC type option in the menu, and had an earlier non-compatible SW version.

Re: fan running on our Sargent 325 non stop
My panel was replaced under warranty when only a few months old whilst trying to track an intermittent fault with the waste water level indicator so maybe the original would have been the same as Peter L. The Service Centre also replaced the cable between the controller and the EC325 but neither worked. After a couple of years I just disconnected the waste tank from the EC325 and have had no trouble with that issue since.

They are easy to fit, just 4 screws, 2 each side, screw holes are key hole release screws and lift off. Existing plug in sockets swapped over. Problem may be access depending where the EC325 is fitted. On mine they must have fitted the EC325 then built the cupboard around it. The screw heads were larger than the keyhole so needed removing completely.
