Bathroom Window seal for Symbol
Hi,
Does anyone know where I can obtain a replacement OUTSIDE rubber seal that fits around the bathroom window on my Autosleeper Symbol (2001)? The seal has come loose, so I guess it has stretched over the years, and it won't stay in place when I push it home.
Thanks,
Dave

Newbie
Thanks for the link Brian. I looked at it but couldn't see exactly what I need, I was hoping to get a bespoke seal that's already made-to-measure. Thanks anyway for your reply. Also, being a Newbie here, I've yet to discover how to 'introduce myself' properly. I shall determine how to do this.
Best wishes,
Dave

Hi Dave,
Do you mean the Black rubber strip that pushes into the groove on the main seal? if so, I had the same problem. I contacted Auto-Sleepers & they sent me a length in the post F.O.C. If the main seal has degraded A/S would be your best bet, they have a massive amount of old stock spare parts. Give them a ring.
Mike.

Hi Dave

If it is the insert rubber.....mine kept coming out of the 'groove'....so used a thin bit of black silicone sealer in the grove and pushed the seal back in. Been ok for a couple of years now.

Rubber seal on Autosleeper Symbol
Thanks for the message Mike. It is indeed the same seal. I contacted Autosleeper and they said they'd send a 5m strip (this equates to the minimum cost for a postal item).
Cheers,
Dave

Dave,
When you get the insert, cut it about 1in oversize & try to force it into the groove lengthwise because it will shrink. I did this & after 8 weeks in the Spanish sun, it now has a small gap.
Cheers, Mike.
