Upgrading the cooker on a 1997 Duetto
We are wondering how feasible it would be to upgrade the cooker on our 1997 Duetto. We'd like to have three rings instead of two, and an oven which works better than the current one, which takes ages to get anything near warm.
We've seen there are cookers with three gas rings, or two gas rings and an electric ring.
I've emailed our local mobile caravan fitter, who says there may be issues with size of gas pipe, and whether there is any spare capacity on the electrical side.
Has anybody done this?
We have spent a good deal of money on the bodywork of the van, and have every intention of keeping it for the long term.

The Symphony had only two gas rings , the Symbol was an updated version but essentially the same van and one update was the fitting of a three ring (gas not an electric hotplate ) so must be do-able. Check out marine cookers. Our Symphony had an LP2000 cooker , LP was Leisure Products so check if they're still around as they probably still produce ovens of same dimensions. Its very likely your Duetto has same oven as our Symphony was also 1997.

We have four gas rings on our Pollensa but we also take a plug-in induction hob for use where appropriate. It's also handy for use when cooking alfresco as I often do, particularly if preparing anything like seafood or curry which would otherwise leave odours in the van.

My 2000 vintage Duetto has a Spinflo cooker/oven with three rings fitted as standard. According to the instruction manual it's model 5500/5600. Sadly Spinflo ceased trading three years ago but you may be able to find a new or good secondhand cooker and spares are still available.looking on ebay. There is a brand new one listed at present for £550....
