Tap replacement 1997 Duetto
We Any tips on how to access the back of the kitchen sink taps to enable me to replace them. Also advice on the wiring of the micro switch would be appreciated. Thanks Batty Jenny

As far as I know AS don't use microswitchs as they use pressure system with Shurflo pumps, certainly in the age range of your Duetto.

Our 1996 Duetto uses a pressure system, so no microswitches.
I too have wondered how I would access the plumbing to the kitchen taps; I assume you could get to them from the outside via the fridge vent?

Thank you both for your replies. That’s one less thing to do. I will try the access via the fridge vent as suggested.

It is via fridge vent, I have just done mine on 96, very fiddly though!
Cheapest replacement I found was from CAK / leisure lines.

Please note doesn’t include screw on barb ends if needing to replace, they are separate order.

Re: Tap replacement 1997 Duetto
Thanks for your reply Karl’s I will look at that today. I have bought a replacement tap which includes wires for a micro switch, I guess I just don’t use that part. The supplier seemed to think that they do not do the part without the switch however I have not unpacked it yet so will look at CAK and exchange if necessary.

Now removed top o/s fridge vent plus surround to get access to the back of the taps. Undone pipe connections ( some water spillage) to reach tap back nuts. Need a 26/27mm open ended spanner or similar and a slim wrist. The old taps removed had micro switch wires snipped off which confirms that not needed on my model (as per the other members ) Thanks all. Hope this may help others.
