Duetto on Ebay - beware
This Duetto is for sale on Ebay, 2001 for £12400. Before you rush out to buy, look at sellers feedback, previously sold it for £9400 but the buyer at that time warns that cash is required before collection!

And he hasn't sold anything else before by looks of it.
I know it takes time to build up sales but I would worry about this one too.

Well if everything is genuine, and it appears to be, that's one heck of a cheap price for an '01' plate Duetto with 25k on the clock. In fact it's too cheap! As for the previous 'buyer', that looks mighty odd to me as who on earth really believes they are going to get an 01 plate Duetto for £9400??
And the 'cash before collection' bit...........not a chance in Hell!

Re: Duetto on Ebay - beware
Ended today with a BIN just after 3pm. Either someone has an absolute bargain.....or bought themselves into a lot of trouble. The price just doesn't 'ring true' to me as he could have driven it into any MH Dealer who would have paid a lot more than £12,400.
I emailed the Seller on Wednesday asking to view it but never received a reply.

I think you were unlikely to have had a reply because I doubt he actually had the Duetto to sell, thats why he wanted the money before collection. As you say the price was too good to be true, they usually are!

Hi Paul
Apart from the ludicrous price the 'ad' read fine....until you read the comment from the negative feedback buyer. But who on earth in their right mind is going to part with that amount of cash before even laying eyes on the thing? Just doesn't make sense.
I would certainly buy a vehicle off eBay, but would insist on viewing first.....even if just a few hundred quid, and even then i'd only pay on collection. If the Seller has been trying a scam, he's going to get himself in a lot of trouble.
I've still got it in "watch list" so will keep an eye on what develops.

Re: Duetto on Ebay - beware
I have just had a horrendous 24 hours!
These sort of things happen at the most awkward moments - like being away in the camper. Thankfully I had to go on-line to answer an email requiring a reply - what a can of worms.
My ebay account had been hacked and someone had listed a TRACTOR (I
ask you!) for sale with my user ID at some ridiculous price so I received hundreds of messages from hopeful punters before I realised there was a listing in my account.
L-O-N-G mobile phone calls to ebay but it has taken a full 24 hrs to get the listing removed and now my account is in suspension (ouch) and I await further information before I can get back on there again.
What's the point? The "seller" would not have got any money. Perhaps he just did it because he can?
My security has been finely retuned yet again, but a worrying time.
