Tap replacement
Hi
Can anyone suggest the best approach to replacing the kitchen mixer tap in my ‘98 Symphony please? The hot tap handle has split and my attempted repair only lasted one trip. I'm assuming I can source a suitable replacement mixer in the first place, of course, although I haven't been able to find anything similar looking so far.
I can’t get to the locking nuts from underneath and the sink itself seems to be trapped under the hinge of the lid at the rear (there are two screws on the front edge from what I can see).
I can do the basic plumbing if I can get to the taps, but a major rebuild of the area will be beyond me.
Thanks for any advice
Pat

Re: Tap replacement
Assuming you can swop the spout over, this looks usable...

Otherwise search for Comet Nova mixer tap available in plastic or alloy finish.

Re: Tap replacement
I had to replace mine a couple of years ago. Faced with the daunting prospect of dismantling half the kitchen area, I opted to attack the problem from the outside after removing the top vent. It's not easy with limited access but it can be done.

Re: Tap replacement
Buy the same tap and just replace the tap handle ,one here on eBay,
Item number
174509020628
This then gives you a spare and saves stripping it all down

Re: Tap replacement
Many thanks all for the very quick and helpful responses, which give me several viable options. I've started by making an offer on the eBay one.
(Just wondering why I never managed to come up with these hits myself despite an hour or more of searching (and I work in IT!)).
