Replacement tap
Hi All,
I have a VW Topaz Autosleeper with Whale tap fittings(fold up sink) i've just discovered that there is a split in the spout of the tap.
Does anyone know if I can just replact the spout or it has to be the whole unit ie, the taps as well. Also would anyone know how i gain access to the taps, would it be from the front or do i need to take the panel of the back of the van and access the taps that way.
Any help would very much be appreciated.
Many thanks
Alex

Re: Replacement tap
Hi,
I replaced my 'elegance' 'spout' using a replacement from the seller on ebay for £19+. It is genuine. In the caravan shop the same one was priced at £26+.
Mine had split as well and this is quite common.
Simple enough job.
I took off the mixer taps by undoing the four screws. I then lifted the mixer from the unit. It's then a matter of loosening off and then pulling the old spout off. You get a new sealing washer with the new spout.
If I remember rightly you get instructions. If like me you're a man, It's important that you don't read these until you've finished the job or found that something doesn't fit the way it should!
