Replacement TV Empty Replacement TV

Post by middleda Thu Aug 23, 2018 8:41 am

Hi their does anyone have a recommendations to replace the TV in my Autosleeper doreset. It comes with a Avtex w102 which is no longer made and it was designed to fit in the little slide out TV cupboard. Most TV's now are to big to fit in this space. I am replacing it because it because I can not get the TV to work with any devices plugged in via the AV in plug. I have tried three devices using a 3 phono plug that goes to a single mini jack for the AV in on the TV and nothing seems to work. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

I’ve just purchased an Avtec 16” TV at the Great Western Motorhome Show. Would that model be to big? Plus I still have the old Panasonic  camping tv that would fit on the pull down  tv cupboard door that many of the AS van conversions had up to the late naughties  I think and still works! The down side is Ena Sharples is still in Coronation Street hugegrins

Our Dorset doesn't seem to have a slide out tv cupboard but it had that same 10 inch Avtec tv fixed up on the ceiling between the front seats on a hinged bracket that folded forward up out of the way when it wasn't needed. We hardly used it but it died a couple of months ago and, like Biffobear, we replaced it with the 16 inch version which fits in the same place. It's an improvement in all round performance but the programmes are still rubbish!
