Air suspension inflation
Has anybody swapped the inflation point from the passenger footwell to the purpose built inflation dash panel, how hard to reroute the air line ?
Cheers

Thanks ,who did you buy the kit from or was it supplied when you had the leveller’s fitted ,
with us not using the passenger door as Christine gets in the hab door I don’t check the gauges that often so would make checking and slight levelling easier , does the pump only run with the ignition on

The pump is on a permanent live to the vehicle battery.
The pump and gauges are from AS Air Suspension in Warrington.

Re: Air suspension inflation
The compressor in that kit looks broadly similar to the Ring RAC900 tyre compressor I carry onboard, though may be a bit smaller. If it’s capable of inflating a tyre without taking too long have you considered having an airline outlet each side of the vehicle to accept a tyre inflation hose? Sounds fine in theory, but maybe too difficult and/or non-cost effective to engineer!FreelanderUK wrote:Just ordered a kit of eBay that was recommended, panel ,pump all the connections and air line , eBay # 163711136329

Re: Air suspension inflation
From a personal point of view , our previous 2014 Kemerton required pressure adjusting once in all the time we owned it . The Warwick was adjusted to our preferred settings on purchase and has stayed rock steady since . Yes I check occasionally but the system holds so little air that even a bicycle pump is sufficient to adjust pressures. Are onboard dedicated pumps and shifting gauges etc really necessary and not just looking for a solution to a problem that does not really exist?

I agree Kaspian
Mine is checked whenever the pax door is open and maintained at 1.5 Bar, topped up to that if necessary, which is annually at worst.
It wouldn't enter my head to use the airbags for levelling or raising in either across or along directions.
Complexity, and weight, are best avoided, I may have said this before!!!

Re: Air suspension inflation
I had a similar system on the Autotrail and used it regularly for slight levelling of the van with great effects, I will also be carrying 2 mobility scooters and a bike at times so ease of raising will be a benefit plus it’s another gadget weight not a problem as the van has been updated to 4500kg

Re: Air suspension inflation
Fitted the new inflation point and a compressor under the drivers seat to the van today and while I had the part of the dash of I hard wired a cigarette socket for the Sat Nav so all the wiring is out of the way and turns on automatically when the ignition is switched on.
Straight forward installing the inflation point and compressor, all the valves and pipe work hidden behind the step[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
