Duetto front passenger seat locking mechanism
Hi, we have a Duetto, based on transit 2008 model. We are trying to understand where the passenger seat shoukd lock fore and aft. At present it doesn't lock when pushed all the way back. If you slide forward it will lock approximately half-way into its travel. Is this correct?

Duetto passenger seat
Hi
Our duetto on a mk6 transit.......both cab seats adjust and lock every 10/12 ish mm.....when you lift sprung lever at front ‘locking blocks’ release from rack and free seat to move...release lever and they lock!yours maybe on mk7 tranny but can’t see why they would be different...
Hope this helps

Should work in any position on the slide.

My Duetto is a 2010 based on a transit and also locks in any position fore and aft. However when you swivel the seat to face the back of the camper it does not lock in that position.

With ours when reversing the passenger seat one needs to insert a 10mm dowel in one or both of the holes in the rotary base plates in order to secure it facing to the rear. It also locks in any position fore or aft.

Re: Duetto front passenger seat locking mechanism
Thank you for all your replies, I suspect I need to remove the seat to see what might be stopping the lock from engaging. It works ok at the front half, but it doesn't even feel that it's trying to latch in the rear half of travel

We had a 2008 Duetto (on a MK7 Transit) and the passenger seat locked when facing forward, and at any position on the slide. It did not lock when turned and facing the rear or at any intermediate position.
