Lumo Lighting Crown Light Diffuser
I have three round ceiling lights in my Warwick Duo. The cover on the one nearest the door has gone yellow. I have tried the bleach method to get it back to white without success. I have looked on line and cannot find just the cover, only a complete light unit at around £50. Does anyone know where I might be able to purchase just a cover?

Unfortunately Lumo ceased trading recently so I doubt you'll find just the defuser. Might be worth calling AS though and ask , they may have a damaged lamp that they can't sell.

I've just been through the same process, two out of our three diffusers needed replacing due to yellowing and that's when I learned of Lumo's demise. I sourced replacement diffusers from Lodge Farm Leisure. Product code is 04064, £6 each, plus a small amount for shipping. Best to get them before stocks run out. I've linked their website below and they were a delight to do business with.

O'Learys have complete units at £25.99, maybe worth a call to see if they have just a defuser.

Re: Lumo Lighting Crown Light Diffuser
I’ve just cleaned the yellowing diffusers on my 2004 Pollensa roof lights by sanding them with wet and dry paper. I used wet 180 grit initially followed by 400, 800 and 1200. The initial stage with 180 grit was the hardest as there’s a slight texture to the external surface of the diffusers. Once through the texture, the yellowing removes quite easily and the finer grits leave a nice matte finish.

Would it be possible to use the kits that you buy to remove the yellowing from plastic headlights

Re: Lumo Lighting Crown Light Diffuser
Hi Chris. I guess so, it’s the same principal. The yellowing effects the outer ‘skin’ of the plastic that is exposed to UV. If you remove this, you remove the yellowing. I also did the Awning light on my Pollensa with a great result.

Yes I tried the wet and dry paper initially, and to be honest it was quite laborious! So I then tried some relatively fine sand paper in an electric palm sander, worked a treat. Finished off using some fine wet and dry then tcut and finally polished with showroom shine. Really pleased with the finish, yellowing all gone and back to it's original colour.

An excellent account - how about making it a Factsheet with an appropriate title?
