Duetto 2002 Wiring
Hi. I recently had one of the switches on the (Duetto 2002) Control Panel break. I haven't been able to replace it exactly. But I have found a 10A one which, whilst wired upside down in comparison to the original, does seem to do the same thing. However whilst the lights and pump now work ok, the toilet flush, fridge igniter and heater igniter do not. Any ideas gratefully received!

In the process of the switch breaking did it cause a fuse to blow? Was the switch like for like electrically? Different amperage and mounted upside down, it doesn't sound right.

Hello R-V. It is posible that fiddling with the broken switch that a fuse blew somewhere. I don't think it is the switch itself or my connection of it that is the problem (10A the original used tabs 1 & 2 for a connection, this uses 2 & 3). What I'm wondering is - is there a fuse that may connect all 3 of these things? And where to look. I've looked at the flush fuse and that looks ok.

This may not help on a 2002 van, but do you have an Owner's Manual, and if so, have you checked all the way through it for a circuit daigram? A/S had started to include them by then (there was one with my 1999 van), though they have a reputation for being a bit out of date.
If not, you may have no choice but to locate each fuse and check it. Is it fair to assume that this is not a control panel with combined switch and circuit breaker in one?

Re: Duetto 2002 Wiring
We had a 2003 Duetto, from memory aren't most of the main habitation fuses under the driver's seat, some are in the compartment under the bench seat, probably there just for the diesel heater and 12V supply, maybe not just for those? There's a circuit diagram in the A-S manual and although there are some minor errors it should give you an idea what fuses you've got and where there's fuse protection.

Thanks
Thanks both. Yes I've got the diagrams. I don't think they show all the fuses nor where they are. But a good start. The search continues...

Re: Duetto 2002 Wiring
I seem to have solved it! After a quick tutorial on 3 pin Rocker switches and a close look at the wiring diagram I noticed that all 3 functions I had lost were connected to 2 wires on a 'ground' pin...wrong pin. My fault, so having moved it all is well. Cheers!
