I had a thought. Could you do me a favour and ask Alison if she could measure the length of the bead that goes into the awning channel? No rush. If this is less that 2.6m then there will be an offset on my measurements I haven't taken into account and I may be able to get it to fit after all.

I assume you will not be moving your van once pitched up everyday due to it's size? If so what I am writing will not be of much use to you.
We have had various awnings and the latest Kyham quick erect ones we have actually cut the flappy bit that fixes to the van off! Mainly due to having to get the position of the van spot on after returning to site each day and now find the awning as a stand alone suits us fine for sitting in, drying towels and storage of bedding etc.

Haven't forgotten, but Alison can't easily measure until they are using the awning, which may be later this week.
