Omnistor 600k canopy/awning
Hi All
Does anybody have any experience of a suitable replacement for the above?
I have an '09 Nuevo SE which following an unfortunate series of events is now without its standard recessed canopy. These seem to have been fitted to Nuevo and 'big brother' Broadway models from around 2007 to 2012 and are no longer available.

Re: Omnistor 600k canopy/awning
I purchased a replacement Complete Recessed awning for our 09 Nuevo es 6/7 years ago,(van sold 2016) the spares department at Willersey ordered a new awning from Roseawnings in Hull, they had a holding stock of 3 at the time.
I still have the original awning in my garage, the reason for replacing it was that it would not rewind in correctly creasing the fabric.
When unwinding it would unfold unevenly until fully open.
If you are unable to purchase a new one, mine is here for you to uplift if you'd require it, I havent unfolded it, it's complete as far as I know and has the front blade attached.

Thank you Boaby.
That sounds like a good proposition and a visit to Brid is always a good idea. Autosleepers Technical did advise Rose & Co as original suppliers and so I mentioned this to a very helpful online supplier dealing with R&C. They couldn't help. Still hoping for a new old stock' item while van is stored and sorn'd until able to resume our travels.

Thanks Again Boaby
We are hoping like everyone else to be mobile again in July so will in touch then. Supposing it fills the void would be a definite improvement.

Re: Omnistor 600k canopy/awning
Hi again Boaby
.We are mobile again, hurrah, and thinking of a trip down the Yorkshire Coast next weekend (25.07.2020). If possible would love to relocate your 600k to the smoggy North East. Shorts will be worn if appropriate. Legs are pale and thin with vaguely stripey feet at the lower extremes.
PS. Sorry, seem to have lost emojis :( Any hints?
Is there a private section for location/contacts etc.?

Pleased to post that Billogs has collected our Fiamma awning and seems happy with it, apologies for imposing self distancing rules Andrew, hope we will see you along the coast one day and have a good brew and scones.
Thanks for the wee gift, the prints are great, very thoughtful, love the Border terrier one especially.
Regards to your wife.

Re: Omnistor 600k canopy/awning
Billogs has successfully up cycled my old Fiamma awning into his 07 Nuevo, it just goes to show that holding onto these large items may come in handy for someone.
Hope to see you next year when these restrictions ease.

Gotta love this forum and the good people on it.
This large and (if available) expensive item could not be found otherwise. Designed in obsolescence does nobody any favours.
However we had an enjoyable weekend in Filey and we now have the van we wanted, well, until the MES panel failure......
The journey continues.
