Re: Oil Change Warning
Further clarification please re the procedure -
Brake & throttle pedals full depressed to the floor
Turn on ignition to MAR
When Change of Oil message appears turn off ignition and then lift off the pedals, OR when message appears lift off the pedals and then turn off ignition.
There seems to be conflicting information on the various youtube videos etc about the sequence of ignition off & foot pedals

Re: Oil Change Warning
I have that come up on my VW Golf. A year since the oil change. I have a cheap OBD thingy which resets dashboard warning lights. I haven't tried it for the service / oil change warning but I'll have a go. I wouldn't change oil that has done 1000 miles just because it is a year old. Fiat Ducatos in the owners manual specifies the FIRST oil change, from the factory, at 30,000 miles or one year- and I think 30k thereafter. A courier delivery van would do that in 6 months so that's reasonable but I wouldn't go changing oil annually just because it might go 'off' if you don't.

Re: Oil Change Warning
SENTINEL....... Read back through this thread for clarification on procedure as it is mentioned. It’s been a frequent topic and also covered if you search forum for oil change.

Yes, did have a read back and found differing sequences in the reset procedure.Kdc wrote:SENTINEL....... Read back through this thread for clarification on procedure as it is mentioned. It’s been a frequent topic and also covered if you search forum for oil change.
Will investigate further.
Many thanks
