Transit Rear Light Lens Empty Transit Rear Light Lens

Post by Yardbird Wed Jun 17, 2020 8:25 pm

Hello Everyone

I have a 1999 Duetto on a Ford Transit base. It was inevitable I guess but I have managed to crack the offside rear light lens cover. There is a replacement on its way but I was not sure how to fit it to the vehicle. It looks as though it could simply be popped on - or is there an internal screw(s) holding it? Any help gratefully received.

If it’s like our Duetto the lens is held in by two plastic thumb screws on the inside. The offside can be got at via the fridge vents. It is a bit of a blind fumble but not too bad. You will see the studs on the new lens. It will take a good tug to release the seal.
Be aware the edges were the panel was cut out on ours were razor sharpe.
I broke our lens reversing into the wheels bin.

Be careful not to drop the nuts, they will disappear forever.
