Difficult exit
We are parked up at buganvilla marbella and leaving Monday
I have a difficulty with the exit lane as it has a gulley that drains down the hill
Didn’t notice going in from the other end when we arrived
Worried about my overhang scrapping on the road
Going to get a plank to drive over the gulley to lift the near side as we turn left out of the camping lane into the exit road.
Anyone think it’s wise or should I try to reverse 500m up a winding lane with no hope of really getting out where I drove in?

Re: Difficult exit
Do you have rear air assist? If so inflate it up to gain height at the rear.Alwaysurfing wrote:We are parked up at buganvilla marbella and leaving Monday

Re: Difficult exit
I wish, but no.
It did cause me to get info from AS air systems but they say once installed the lift is only 75mm at the installation point
I guess extrapolation to the rear 2.2m from the rear wheel probably makes quite a difference
What do others think about that?

Re: Difficult exit
Do you see any witness marks on the road? If not and it's a campsite that's well used, you'll ~probably~ be Ok, as there will have been numerous people who either didn't think of the problem or didn't care because they are in hired vans. Any scraping on a regular basis will mark the road (unless it's an earthen track!).

Re: Difficult exit
In a similar situation once after torrential rain on a very muddy and slippery site with a steep exit, I watched the line that other vans took as they left, then followed the most successful..

There are not many vans with the length over overhang a Corinium has. Are you on the campsite or somewhere else?

Re: Difficult exit
so moving very very slowly and using 5 paving slabs to drive over managed to get out of the lane on to the road through the gulley without rubbing the van on the road or causing any damage at all..... phew.
Now in a really flat pitch in Roche!
