Reversing camera fault
Hi all,
I have fitted a reversing camera set up, bought on eBay:
Camera: 303344479564
Radio Tx/Rx: 312781628369
Display: 293237829403
to my Trophy.
I have fitted radio TX and RX to stop the need for too much back to front wiring.
The following fault occurs with the engine a V6 Petrol both switched on AND OFF.
The following fault occurs both during full color daytime and B/W night time.
The power supply is from the Auxiliary output.
On switch on, the image on the display (a clip over the rear view mirror kind) is perfect. However very soon afterwards zig zag lines start to accumulate in the bright sky areas, start to gather/increase/align and finish, after a few minutes, as a horizontal herringbone pattern, covering the entire sky image, or at night, all areas of brightness.
This of course makes the system un-workable.
The fact that the interference occurs with the engine switched off rules out engine etc interference and I am left with a video signal build up threshold fault.
Adjusting the Brightness and/or Contrast settings, brings no improvement.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Rob.

Re: Reversing camera fault
Don't worry I have sorted it out for myself. It had to be radio frequency interference, so I connected the camera to the display direct by cable -- no interference, engine both running and off.
Interference came from a cab-roof mounted TV/Multimedia display (must have a heterodyne oscillator running even when switched off). Picture is a lot better as well.
